About

smile . . . it's cheap medicine

A Magna Cum Laude graduate of Wagner College, Christina is currently working at MTV Networks as a Project Coordinator for On-Air Promos. Prior to her work at MTV she was entertaining fans with her energy and enthusiasm as a member of the Brooklyn Cyclones professional dance team from 2010-2012.  Although she will not be back this season as a dance team member, she is thrilled to be the coach of the Brooklyn Cyclones new Junior Dance Team, Pee Wee's Dance Crew.

In 2010 her passion for dance and choreography led her to the Miss America Organization where she has held the titles of Miss Brooklyn 2011, Miss Verrazano 2012 and currently Miss Kings County 2013. Being a part of the Miss America Organization has allowed Christina to have a voice not only in her community, but throughout the country. In 2011 she launched her program "Performers With A Purpose, Bringing Sarcoma Awareness Center Stage," a dance program implemented in schools that aims to spread the importance of an arts education, while simultaneously raising support and awareness for Sarcoma Cancer.  Her Aunt Josephine Schiavo, a Stage 4 Sarcoma Cancer Survivor has been the driving force behind Christina's commitment to this cause.

Together they have coordinated various charity events ranging from dance benefits, formal galas, cosmic bowling tournaments and more, which collectively have raised over $30,000.00 for organizations such as the Sarcoma Alliance , The Sarcoma Foundation of AmericaFrankie's Foundation, & Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.
